Hi there! I’m Elizabeth and welcome to my blog. I’m a journalist from Newcastle upon Tyne now living in London, after running away to find myself in Edinburgh, Madrid and Toronto (the me I found still has a Geordie accent).

I’m ridiculously proud of the north-east and love politics, theatre, history, make-up and fashion. Oh, and I think Dave Gahan is sex on legs.

This is my personal blog on life at 50 – a collection of thoughts, ideas, rants, loves and laughs on my countdown to a pretty big milestone in life.

Passionate about what I believe in, I don’t always speak with my brain engaged but I will always listen to what you say. So long as it’s nothing to do with mullett skirts.

I can’t promise you’ll like everything. I can’t promise you’ll agree with everything. But I can promise I’ll be honest.

So, here we go…
